Visualise and control your KNX / EIB Installation with iPad, iPhone, iPod touch

You may establish with this gateway a bi-directional communication to your KNX/EIB installation. This gateway offers like any other KNX bus device communication objects that are assigned to group addresses with your ETS software. No ETS plugIn will be necessary.

The big advantage of this system structure is, that this gateway acts like a server. The actual state and data of your lights, blinds, shutter and HVAC are available in the gateway. If a (wireless) client connects to this unit, it may directly read all relevant data by Ethernet. No bus request is necessary, no additional bus traffic may encounter communication problems, no delay to visualize the data.

The app in apple store is free of charge. You may load it to as many devices you would like to.

Up to 10 i-devices may communicate completely bi-directional at the same time with the bus.

The gateway may be used additionally as a KNXnet/IP tunnel to program the bus with ETS.

Control your home in your WiFi environment and/or from distance with VPN

VPN is the abbreviation of “Virtual Private Network” and is one of the most secure connections by 3G or another WiFi network to your home network from distance. Establishing a VPN connection will mean, that you have access to the whole home network from distance:

You may control your KNX environment (control temperatures inside of your house, switch your heating on before coming home from winter holiday, observe messages from your alarm system, open the garden door for your gardener).

But that’s not all: With additional applications you may see all of your IP cameras, listen music or watch pictures of your locally installed NAS drive or PC, you may even telephone with Skype through 3G…. It is just as if you’re at home in your WiFi network.

A very nice additional feature of the ProKNX App is the ability defining directly on your i-device personal scenes out of the configured data points. You want to switch on the garden lights and switch off the kitchen lights when you get ready for dinner on your terrace? No problem, define your special scene directly with your iPhone/iPad and use it with one button press every evening...

The text file will be read by the App and the user interface will be configured accordingly

The order of the buttons, sliders and command elements is defined by the order of the text elements in the text configuration file.

Every element uses a shortcut followed by the name and the data point number of the communication object.
