The KNX installation bus allows you to control
Lighting

This application allows the controlled access of the bus
management
functionalities via a modern media control - the Philips Pronto TSU
series (TSU9400, TSU9600 and TSU9800).
The remote control works bidirectional in the building's
wireless LAN
and accesses the KNX bus data via a specially customised IP gateway.
This provides the end user with the following possibilities:
Remotely control all KNX functionalities from any
location in
the building
Status and value reports via the high definition touch
display
(640 x 480)
Customization/Configuration of scenarios and temperature
data
Media control (CD, DVD, radio, Internet radio, Beamer,
screen,
...) in as many zones as desired
Backfitting this application means in this case only the
creation of a
link to the IP gateway offered here into your bus, no additional cables,
no breaking of walls!
For larger buildings it is also possible to use several
remote controls
simultaneously.
The Philips PRONTO
is part of the WLAN. It can therefore access the complete IP world of its
assigned network. Linking the IP gateway "PROKNX" to your
wireless router will also open the KNX bus for this world. The bus may
even be programmed with your ETS via the tunneling function of the gateway
(also in wireless mode).
The gateway provides objects that may be assigned to the
group addresses via ETS as usual. These objects are directly read and
written to by PRONTO.
The result is an absolutely breathtaking response time
on all actions via the PRONTO touch display. It's like activating a switch
on the bus...
You may yourself configure these connections, if you are
comfortable using ETS. For more sophisticated 3D visualisations with
